Would a Geek be any worse??

Although the title for this Site is Geek for President, it is mostly for satirical purposes, though I'd be open for such a run if some very stringent rules were followed.

First, a minimum of 10,000 registered voters in each state would have to sign a petition to get me on the November Ballot in all 50 states.

Second, each registered voter would need to donate $125.00 each to the campaign.  Of this money, $100.00 would go to the state campaign, the remaining $25.00 to the federal campaign.

Third, the state campaign committees would have to be made up of almost all volunteers.  There would be no more than 5 paid workers in each state.  The federal campaign staff would have to be similar, but I'd perhaps go as far as 10 paid workers at this level.

Fourth, the state and federal campaign committees would NOT except any federal, state, or local matching funds.  Nor would the accept any donations from any corporate, PAC, or other special interest group.

Fifth, individual donations would not exceed $1,000.00, and the donor must be willing to allow their name to be published on a public web site along with the amount of their donation.

The real purpose of this site is to provide a new perspective on the political landscape.  Too many times the talking heads try to tell us what we should think instead of just providing us with vital information that we could use to ourselves.  Well, I'm going to be a talking head, but I'm going to express my own views and hopefully we can have a free and open debate on the various topics.  I do reserve the right to remove posts that I believe are inappropriate, so please refrain from using foul, abusive, racist, or insulting comments.
